I attended a photography workshop put together by Joe Rossbach. The workshop was 2 hours of presentation followed by about 3 ½ hours of shooting at Great Falls National Park. Although I’ve been to the park many times in the past, I usually stick around the viewing platforms overlooking the larger falls. On this trip, Joe led us to a spot along the river just above the larger falls. There, the group spread out in search of subjects. We were hoping to catch some nice color in the sky at sunset but the cloud cover was not favorable for that. Instead we concentrated on photographing the interesting rock patterns and water flows that make up this park. By the way, Joe’s workshops are highly recommended for photographers of all skill levels. His website is www.josephrossbach.com.
