In early June, I spent a weekend in Shenandoah National Park with the primary goal of photographing the new born fawns around the Big Meadows area. There were a number of does in the meadows but finding a fawn proved elusive. However, the park offers plenty of other subjects to photograph, with a number of waterfalls nearby.
The weather conditions were right for producing some early morning fog between the mountain ridges, adding depth and definition to the ridge lines.
